Summary

Our client is a young, rapidly growing Fitness Equipment Sales company based in New Jersey with plans to grow across the US and Europe. As the Director of Marketing, you will be instrumental in driving our growth strategy within the fitness equipment distribution marketplace. This role is pivotal to enhancing our market presence and aligning our sales initiatives with client needs, ensuring we continue to position our equipment within residential, corporate wellness, and small distributor showrooms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Build relationships with fitness equipment distributors that generate a minimum of $15000 of sales per month (first 2 months goals with be lower to build up to that amount).
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage client relationships through effective account management practices that include a high volume of outreach, both in person and virtual.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Oversee outside sales efforts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics to assess effectiveness of sales strategies and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Foster a culture of excellence within the company through leadership and development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • MUST have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Marketing for a major fitness equipment sales company or fitness brand. Previous company must have over 100 employees and annual sales exceeding 50 million dollars.
  • Strong business development skills with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement.
  • Experience with both digital and grass roots marketing.
  • Google Ads and Hubspot fluency.
  • Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience managing outside sales teams is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
  • Familiarity with account management principles to maintain strong client relationships.
  • The employer will cover travel and training expenses.
