We are seeking a Dispatcher on behalf of a well-established moving and relocation company in Woodbridge, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized professional to oversee the scheduling and coordination of moving crews, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have experience in dispatching within the moving, logistics, or transportation industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role requires someone who can coordinate multiple moves, assign crews efficiently, and handle any scheduling challenges that arise.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch moving crews, drivers, and equipment based on customer bookings and job requirements.
• Communicate with crews throughout the day to provide updates, address issues, and ensure timely service.
• Monitor daily schedules and adjust routes or assignments as needed to optimize efficiency.
• Maintain clear communication with customers regarding service times, delays, and any necessary adjustments.
• Track and document job details, crew assignments, and service status in dispatch software.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and last-minute changes while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with the operations and sales teams to align dispatch schedules with business needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and job completion reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any service-related issues.

Requirements:

• Experience in dispatching within the moving, transportation, or logistics industry preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple schedules and crews efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with drivers, crews, and customers.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to scheduling changes or unexpected delays.
• Proficiency in dispatch software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, based on business needs.
