Fabricator / Welder
Ohio Awning & Manufacturing Company has been fabricating and installing commercial and residential awnings in Northeast Ohio for 160 years. Blending 19th-century American craftsmanship with 21st-century innovation to bring clients a wide variety of custom-made solutions ranging from awnings and canopies to all-weather curtains and more!

Responsibilities
· Fabricate Awning framework from CAD / Shop drawing – Figure materials, cut tubing, weld and finishing clean-up.
· Acquire and maintain expert-level knowledge of our products.
· Accurately read and understand a tape measure, ensuring measurements are correct.
· Operate properly in a safe manner – Compound Miter saw, MIG welding machines, and various tools.
· Work well with others to get the project done.
Traits and Qualifications
· Certified Welder able to use MIG Miller/ Lincoln machines for aluminum and steel.
· High aptitude for prioritization, organization, and self-direction
· Experience in reading and understanding CAD and Shop Drawings
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to thrive in a highly independent role.
· Sense of humor
· Retention of product training and information given once or in small bursts
· Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs. and have the flexibility to move freely
· Fabricating shop experience, carpentry, or other trade
· Experience with compound miter saw, band saw, drill press, grinders, plus other hand tools.
