Job Description

Bruster's Real Ice Cream in La Canada Flintridge, CA is looking for one ice cream maker to join our 24 person strong team. We are located on 965 Foothill Blvd Ste D. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, responsible, quick learner and reliable.

This is a part time position up to 20 hours a week with flexible hours.

Responsibilities 

• Measure ingredients accurately
• Operate ice cream batch freezers and related equipment
• Follow proper food handling and cleaning procedures
• Follow necessary inventory systems
• Make ice cream batches according to Bruster's recipe book
• Serve ice cream to customers
• Prepare and complete customer orders in a timely manner
• Maintain cash drawer and ring up customer orders
• Maintain welcome areas

Physical demands 

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance
• Frequently required to taste or smell
• Must be able to maneuver in a tight and sometimes congested working environment
• Position requires lifting up to 50 lbs

Training

Ice cream makers at Bruster's learn the ins and outs of the ice cream experience. They may also experiment with new flavors and recipes.
