Job Description

Join Lynx Therapeutics as an IT Help Desk Technician!

The IT Help Desk Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our staff and clients. This role is essential in ensuring that all computing issues are resolved efficiently and effectively, enhancing overall productivity and user experience. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, provide guidance on IT-related inquiries, and ensure that our systems are running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to calls, emails, and in-person requests for technical support from staff and clients.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and networks.
  • Provide remote support using remote desktop tools to assist users in different locations.
  • Document issues and solutions in a ticketing system, maintaining clear and concise records.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software for employees.
  • Provide training to staff on software applications and best practices in IT usage.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement improvements in systems and processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role or help desk environment.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and protocols is a plus.
