About the Journeyman Electrician Role

We are hiring a licensed Journeyman in the San Francisco area to join our team! Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities

The licensed Journeyman Electrician will:

• Provide hands-on electrical support of Treehouse customers in the City of San Francisco and northern peninsula
• Install equipment related to residential electrification, ensuring installation accuracy, efficiency, and throughput according to company goals
• Organize and maintain vehicle inventory to ensure alignment with and efficiency in meeting all installation requirements and purchase, deliver, and organize installation inventory
• Serve as customer service electrical subject-matter expert, conducting site visits, identifying and negotiating change orders, and advising on scoping needs
• Follow standard operating procedures and guidelines and ensure all work meets safety standards and is up to code in field work and collect, maintain, and demonstrate understanding of electrical installation inspection documentation
• Deliver permits and business licenses to local building departments when needed

Journeyman Electrician Minimum Qualifications

Successful licensed journeyman candidates will demonstrate:

• Active electrician certification in the state of California
• 5 or more years of experience in the electrical trade, with at least half of all career experience in the residential electrical trade
• Strong working knowledge of national and regional electrical codes

Journeyman Electrician Preferred Qualifications

Additionally, successful licensed journeyman candidates may demonstrate:

• 8 or more years of experience in the electrical trade, with at least 4 years in the residential electrical trade
• Residential service work preferred, with a focus and understanding of the challenges of electrifying older homes in the San Francisco Bay Area without the ability to fully overhaul existing infrastructure
• An independent self-starter capable of completing projects without significant oversight or training and who can solve problems proactively
• An ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• An interest in continuous growth and improvement

The pay rate for this position is expected to be between $53.00 - $58.00 per hour. This is a good faith estimate of what Treehouse may pay for a new hire; actual pay may vary based on prevailing wages in geographic location and a candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required job qualifications.
