Job Description

We’re looking for a Preconstruction Manager for a leader in the multifamily, affordable housing space to spearhead budgeting, feasibility planning, and preconstruction strategy for our affordable housing renovation projects.

In this key role, you’ll work alongside internal teams and clients to ensure project success from initial concept to construction handoff. You’ll set the standard for process efficiency, accuracy, and team collaboration.

🔑 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and mentor the preconstruction team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company goals.
• Collaborate with business development and operations teams to align preconstruction efforts with client expectations.
• Oversee project evaluations, cost estimates, and budgets—ensuring accuracy and identifying value-engineering opportunities.
• Develop and manage preconstruction schedules, keeping all stakeholders informed and projects on track.
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with internal teams, clients, and partners.
• Continuously assess and refine processes to improve efficiency and quality.

📋 What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project planning—preferably within affordable housing or multi-family renovation.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Technical expertise in conceptual estimating, budgeting, and feasibility analysis.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to present project plans and cost evaluations to stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and driven to meet deadlines.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
