Collaborate with Care Teams: Work closely with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care. Communicate significant changes in patient conditions promptly.
Clinical Leadership and Staff Development: Provide clinical leadership by performing daily rounds, monitoring patient safety, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Lead the care planning process, develop care plans, and ensure that assessments are updated as needed.
Improve Quality of Care: Participate in the quality improvement process by identifying opportunities to improve care and attending facility-wide committee meetings.
Supervise and Support Staff: Oversee staffing assignments, ensuring the appropriate allocation of resources based on patient care needs. Coach staff on correct procedures and provide performance evaluations.
Ensure Compliance and Safety: Maintain infection control standards, report any incidents of abuse or neglect, and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited registered nurse program required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role in either acute or long-term care settings.
Licensing and Certifications: Active RN licensure in Maryland without any disciplinary infractions. A current AHA HCP BLS certification and IV insertion skills are required. Infection Control certification is preferred.
Skills: Strong clinical and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, coordinate care, and ensure patient safety.
