We are thrilled to introduce an exciting new opportunity at Clarendon Flavors! We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Sales & Business Development Manager. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will take charge of all aspects of Clarendon Flavors' sales strategy and business development initiatives, ensuring the continued growth and success of our brand in an increasingly competitive market. As Sales & Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building key relationships, and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will develop and execute strategic sales initiatives that align with our long-term goals, positioning Clarendon Flavors as a leader in the industry. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and success of Clarendon Flavors, leading the charge through strategic initiatives that will shape the future of the brand. Although a home-based role, regular visits to the corporate headquarter in Louisville, Kentucky will be required. The position will report to the President of Clarendon Flavors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales and business development team(s), driving a culture of excellence, accountability, and high performance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that enhance Clarendon Flavors’ competitive positioning and achieve customer targets resulting in compounded growth.
  • Leverage industry connections and an existing book of business to drive new revenue streams.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities while managing existing client relationships to drive retention and long-term growth.
  • Customer-centric mindset based on growing a broad range of meaningful relationships across multiple industries (Food & Beverage, Spirits, pharmaceuticals, confectionery and cannabis).
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to adjust strategies to maintain a market-leading position.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should have at least five years of business development (sales-driven) experience, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in developing and managing a book of business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in the flavor industry and/or the food & beverage, spirits industry preferred.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, driven, resilient and delivery-focused individual that enjoys working independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Passionate and confident about sales, brand development and knowledge of the potential customers business and industry.
  • Proven record of being both hands-on and strategic – able to navigate the big picture and the details Excited about professionally representing the Clarendon Flavors brand and growing the footprint of the business
  • Able to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders and priorities
