Job Description

Position:

Sr. Estimator - Ground Up Warehouse and Distribution Projects (WILLING TO RELOCATE TO HOUSTON) - From within US Only

Responsibilities:

• Develop feasibility and option budgets for site pursuits and land purchase offers, working with limited diligence, site survey, and permitting information.
• Create conceptual estimates for project pro forma budgets to assess project viability nationwide.
• Collaborate with the project team throughout the design phase to forecast, monitor, and control project costs.
• Advise on alternative design and building systems to maintain budget targets.
• Assist the construction project management team with project buyout, including developing scopes, bid packages, analyzing bids, and negotiating with subcontractors.
• Establish the guaranteed maximum price (GMP) budget.
• Maintain Master Exhibit B Scopes of Work for bidding and contracting trades, and create 'scope of work' templates for the industrial division.
• Assemble comprehensive request for proposal packages for third-party general contractors and evaluate their proposals against budget.
• Maintain subcontractor databases and establish relationships with key subcontractors in target markets.

Location:

Corporate office in Houston, TX (full-time, on-site)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, with a strong background in industrial projects.
• Estimating experience is mandatory; project management experience is a plus due to the preconstruction nature of the role.

Compensation:

• Base salary range between 130k - 180k
• Eligibility to participate in the Estimating/Construction Bonus Program.
